This Privacy Policy explains how AIS GAMES ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you play Cat Kingdom (the "App"), either as a mobile application or in a web browser. By installing, opening or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
Contact email: hello@ais.games
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Cat Kingdom mobile application distributed through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and to the browser version of the game played on our website at ais.games. It does not apply to any third-party services, websites, or applications that may be linked from within the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
The App does not require account creation and does not ask you to provide personal information directly. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment details.
2.2 Information stored on your device
The App stores a small amount of gameplay data locally, in the local storage of the app's web view on a phone or of your browser when you play at ais.games. This is:
- Your best score
- Game settings (sound, vibration, graphics quality, language, reminders on/off)
- In the mobile application: timestamps of the last advertisements shown, used only to limit how often ads appear
Runs are not saved: every run starts from the beginning. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and is not backed up to any cloud service by the App. It is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its storage through your device settings, or, in a browser, when you clear the site data for ais.games.
2.2.1 Play reminders
If you allow notifications, the App schedules a few "come back and play" reminders on your device (1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 days after you last played; opening the App resets them). They are created and shown entirely by your device's operating system; no data is sent to us or to any server to do this. You can turn reminders off at any time in the App's Settings, or block the App's notifications in your device settings. The web version sends no reminders.
2.3 Fonts
When the App starts, it loads its display font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). As with any web request, this sends your IP address and basic browser or device information to Google. The font is not used to identify or track you; see Google's Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
2.4 Information collected automatically by third parties
In the mobile application only, we use Google AdMob to show advertisements: an optional rewarded ad (when a run ends, you may choose to watch an ad to continue it) and an occasional full-screen interstitial ad between screens (at most one every 3 minutes, never right after a rewarded ad, and never on the screen the App opens with). The App does not show banner ads. The browser version at ais.games shows no ads at all and does not load AdMob, and it does not offer the continue option. In the mobile application, AdMob is started when the App opens and loads an ad in advance so the option is ready when a run ends; in doing so, AdMob automatically collects certain information for the purpose of serving and measuring ads:
- Advertising identifier — Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android, Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS, only if you allow tracking
- Device information — device model, operating system and version, language, screen size
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address (country and city level; no precise GPS data is accessed)
- Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, whether you watched a rewarded ad to completion, whether you clicked
3. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To provide the App — keeping your best score and settings on your device between sessions
- To show advertisements — serving occasional interstitial ads through Google AdMob and managing how often they are shown to you
- To offer optional rewarded advertisements — allowing you to watch an ad voluntarily, through Google AdMob, in exchange for an in-game benefit (continuing a run once after it ends)
- To remind you to play — only if you allow notifications, as described in section 2.2.1
- To improve the App — using aggregated, non-identifying metrics from AdMob to understand general usage patterns
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing personal data through advertising partners in the mobile application is:
- Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalized advertising. Where required, you will be shown a consent request through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are served. You may accept or decline.
- Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — for non-personalized advertising, fraud prevention, and basic analytics necessary to run the App.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service to monetize the mobile application. You are encouraged to review their privacy policies:
- Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) — privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and AdMob-specific details at support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
AdMob may share data with its network of demand partners (advertisers and ad exchanges) to deliver ads. When you consent to personalized advertising, these partners may process your advertising identifier and device information to select relevant ads.
6. Your Choices and Controls
6.1 Reset or disable your advertising identifier
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Reset advertising ID"
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → disable "Personalized Ads"
6.2 Update your consent
For EU/UK/Swiss users, the consent form will re-appear when required by regulation. You can also clear the App's data in your device settings, which brings the consent request back the next time an ad is requested, or contact us to change your choice.
6.3 Uninstall the App
Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored game data and cancels any scheduled reminders. In a browser, clearing the site data for ais.games does the same. No trace of your scores or settings remains on our side because we do not operate servers that store user data.
7. Rights of EU / UK / Swiss Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request confirmation of whether we process your personal data
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to data portability
- Right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ais.games. Because we do not collect direct identifiers, you may need to provide information that helps us identify the data you are asking about (such as an approximate date of install or your advertising identifier).
8. Rights of California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA:
- Right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how it is used
- Right to delete personal information we hold about you
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. While we do not sell data in the traditional sense, the sharing of advertising identifiers with AdMob's partners for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CPRA. You may opt out by limiting ad tracking in your device settings (see section 6.1) or by contacting us.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
9. Rights of Other U.S. State Residents
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws have similar rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us to exercise these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
Cat Kingdom is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at hello@ais.games and we will promptly delete the relevant data. AdMob is configured with an age-appropriate content rating; only ads rated T (Teen) or below are shown.
11. International Data Transfers
Google (for AdMob and Google Fonts) processes data on servers located in the United States and other countries. Where required, Google relies on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to transfer personal data outside the EEA.
12. Data Retention
We do not retain personal data on any server. Your best score and settings stored on your device remain until you delete them. Data processed by AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention policies — see Google's privacy documentation for details.
13. Data Security
Game data stored locally on your device is protected by the security mechanisms of your operating system (sandboxing, per-app storage isolation) or, in a browser, by the browser's per-site storage isolation. Data sent to AdMob is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced within the App where practicable. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
15. Contact Us
